Communications Plan

This Instagram campaign will be aimed at attracting, informing and educating every gay and lesbian community within and outside the province of BC. and the city of Vancouver. The campaign will showcase attractive evidences of the gay and lesbian community in Vancouver and how they came to the point they are currently through the gay and lesbian liberation movement. This campaign will give a sense of acceptance and approval of there community in the province. for this campaign Instagram is a good platform to reach out to audiences because it is a platform that displays visual representation of lifestyles of individuals from various community. Instagram has a way of aligning your feeds(postings) on the app with things that are of interest with a specific group. it displays lifestyle contents of various communities.

Instagram is one of the most used social media platform. it has had a huge engagement rate over the years and from analysis of the contents released about the LGBTQ community across all social media , Instagram content postings has received more likes and comments than other social media platforms like TikTok, twitter etc. The achieves from the video where stored in the leaving room of Ron over the years. These achieves contain images of the gay individuals, how they celebrated the liberation and where taken in black and white photos. The images on the posters contain images of both genders, how they lived there lives and how they moved in masses around the city. Ron always felt happy about having the achieves in his living room, he always had a sense of fulfilment by keeping these achieves. they where stores in boxers for years.

Ron Dutton, the manager of the BC Gay and lesbian Achieve will represent the organization. He is the only person who collected most and all of the fillings for the community. Ron has stored these achieves in his home for years and has detailed information about each and every achieve taken into documentation. He has the interest of the Gay and Lesbian community at heart. He wants there story to be heard. This Instagram campaign will show and display the experience of Ron so far in keeping, recording and filling of these achieves over time. it will focus on his challenges and what he gained so far from carrying out this task of collecting the achieves. each post on the platform will highlight different experiences Ron faced.

The campaign is designed to inform people about the Gay and Lesbian Achieves, it aims at getting people to know about the challenges faced by the gay community in Vancouver and how the liberation movement of there community has brough a sense of acceptance of their community in the city of Vancouver BC. The Instagram posting will be short Instagram reels that is promoted. This is to increase viewers comment and engagement with the posting.

The reels will display Ron giving an audio and visual representation of the recorded events on the achieve, educating about the events displayed on the achieves. The reels will display most of Ron view about the achieves. Ron will be the major character for the reel because of the role he has played in keeping the achieves. the content will be emotionally engaging, triggering a sense of excitement about the liberation movement, achieve storage and knowledge about this campaign. There will be restrictions on the comment section of the posts in order to get peoples reaction to the post. The posts will have tag other Instagram pages that talks about the community.

This Instagram posting will be released on weekly bases within the space of three months including the pride month of the LGBTQ which usually occurs in June. This timeline is designed to engage different gay-lesbian people having vacations, free time, and also celebrating in the pride month. This post will be the first social media post of our campaign. it will feature the spokesperson of the organization in order to give our audience a background knowledge about the campaign and increase there interest with the community. Data on engagement on the post will be reviewed weekly to know the number of people the post reaches and the engagement rate.

This Instagram campaign will help to enlighten other people part of the LGBTQ community about how there story in Vancouver BC. it will assist in booting their pride. it will give a sense of acceptance and also a sense of unity of their community.
